The 2023 Old Trail Fourball C hampionship will be hosted on July 29th & 30th, 2023. The Championship will consist of two person teams playing a fourball format over two days. T he event will be tee times double starting at 9 am both days. There will be a Men’s division, Senior’s Division & Women’s Net Division. Each divis ion will be flighted (depending on number of teams) after Day 1 scores. Win ners of each division will be determined by the lowest aggregate score for two days.
COMPETITION INFORMATION

ELIG
IBILITY
Must have a valid USGA handicap as of July 28th, 2023 to part
icipate in the NET competition. The Gross division does not require a handi
cap as the player will be presumed to be playing as Scratch.
DIVISION
S & FLIGHTS
Divisions will be based on Age & Gender. Flights w
ill be determined by the level of participation. Following day 1 competitio
n, all teams will be broken into flights based off day 1 scores and their r
espective division. Each division must have a minimum of 4 teams (divisions
with less than 4 teams may be subject to cancelation). If your team consis
ts of one member that is 59 & under and one member that is 60 + your te
am must play in the higher division. i.e. the team may not play in the Seni
or Division just because 1 member of the team is 60, they must play in the
Men’s division. The member of that team that is 60 + will play at 93% of th
e yardage relative to the white tees. If a team from the senior or women’s
division would like to play in the Men’s division that team will incur a de
duction of strokes based on their respective course rating compared to the
white tees. Each Flight will have a Gross & Net Winner.

FORMAT
Better Ball Foursome
s- Each Teammate will play their own ball through the green until their bal
l is holed. The team will record their Gross or Net best ball. This format
will be played at 85% of your individual course handicap.
RULES
All play will be governed under the USGA Rules of Golf. If you, your team o
r your group is in doubt of how to proceed under the rules, please play two
balls and alert the golf professional after the completion of your match.
Local Rules card will be given on the day of the event.
AWARDS CEREMO
NY
Old Trail Credit will be given to the winners of each flight unless
the competitor is a professional. The player(s) must declare professional
status before the start of the competition to receive cash prizes. Awards d
istribution will depend on the size of the field. Teams may not win Gross a
nd Net in their respective flight.
