Host a Meeting or Event in Crozet, Virginia

A location where you can enjoy peace, quiet, and fun all in one place.

Selecting the destination for your special event, wedding or offsite meeting is a crucial element of the planning process. What is important to you, or your group? A few elements to consider:

  • Location of Interstate Route and Airport
  • Type of Destination – what style of scenery speaks to you?
  • Conveniences – restaurants, activities, etc.
  • Lodging – hotel, rental home, bed & breakfast, or resort?

The central Virginia area is a special place. From hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains to tasting a local varietal at an area winery, picking fresh fruit at an orchard to enjoying the live music scene – there is truly something for everyone.

Destination: Crozet

Located less than five minutes from the I-64 interchange, less than 25 minutes from both Charlottesville and Waynesboro; and less than 90 minutes from Richmond, Crozet is a perfect location for a meeting or special event. A quaint township flanked by jaw-dropping Blue Ridge Mountain views, Crozet offers a relaxed environment featuring a walkable main street dotted with shops and restaurants. This part of town is also known as the Crozet Historic District and was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Outdoor Activities

A popular attraction in the area is the Blue Ridge Tunnel, a railroad tunnel designed to connect Nelson and Augusta counties. It was built in the 1850s, and at the time was the longest railroad tunnel in North America. Fun Fact – In 1870, Crozet was renamed from Wayland's Crossing in honor of Colonel Claudius Crozet, the Blue Ridge Tunnel's Chief Engineer. Today, visitors can hike through the tunnel and experience this feat of engineering, now nearing two centuries old. Mint Springs Valley Park has it all – hiking and mountain biking trails, canoe and kayak access, volleyball court, playground, as well as seasonal fishing and swimming. For novice hikers venturing out in Crozet, this is a great place to start, with the longest trail just under two miles. Hikers in search of more challenging terrain can visit nearby Shenandoah National Park for another beautiful view of the mountains. The journey to SNP proves to be as rewarding as the destination as you travel along Skyline Drive to get there. Perfect for adventure-seekers and road warriors alike, Skyline Drive offers a jaw-dropping vista around every turn. There are plenty of pull-offs to capture those beautiful pictures as well.

Virginia Wine Country

Recently named Wine Enthusiast's Wine Region of the Year in 2023, the Monticello Wine Trail features over 40 wineries throughout Charlottesville, Albemarle County, and Monticello American Viticultural Area. Crozet is a great destination in the heart of the trail, with 15 vineyards located within a 15-mile radius. A visit to a Virginia vineyard is a great outing as part of a wedding weekend, special event, or off-site meeting excursion. Each Tasting Room is unique in their offerings, allowing the guest to truly enjoy nuanced tastes of Virginia wine varietals while enjoying beautiful surroundings.

Crozet Craft Beverage Scene

In addition to several area wineries, the craft beer scene is alive and well in Crozet. Both Starr Hill and Pro Re Nata have tap rooms in the 22932. In addition to fresh local beer, check out their respective calendars for live music, trivia nights, and so much more.
